Community Choice: Power with Purpose

Join Community Choice Agency (CCA) experts and leaders from across the state on June 5th for a day-long event about accelerating CCA adoption, sharing best practices, and creating more benefits for our communities. There will also be a pre-symposium workshop on the afternoon of June 4th on distributed energy resource projects that build local resiliency, provide unique customer services and contribute to local economic development.

The Symposium is organized in coordination with our partners, Local Government Commission and Local Government Sustainable Energy Coalition:

Keynote Speaker Dr. Dan Kammen

Dr. Dan Kammen (pictured below) will deliver the keynote address about current trends and likely future realities in the energy market and how those may impact the development of Community Choice Agencies.

Dr. Kammen is a Distinguished Professor of Energy at the University of California, Berkeley, with parallel appointments in the Energy and Resources Group, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the department of Nuclear Engineering. His research combines environmental science, risk analysis, design and development of clean energy technologies and systems, and economic and policy analysis of science and technology, energy futures, and international development.
