Community Choice Agency (CCA) experts and leaders from across the state convened for a day-long Symposium about accelerating local energy resource development via CCAs, sharing best practices, and creating more benefits for local communities on June 21st. There was also three pre-Symposium workshops the afternoon of June 20th: Managing Risk in a Dynamic Environment, Cutting Edge Research in CCAs, and Accelerating Electric Vehicle Adoption.

Keynote speaker

Fran Pavley, is the author of ground-breaking AB 32, California’s Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006, which created a cap-and-trade system to reduce California’s greenhouse gas emissions. Pavley served two terms in the California State Senate and three terms in the California State Assembly, during which time she authored and passed many bills, including SB 32, which extended California’s emissions reduction goals to 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030. Come hear Fran’s unique perspective on California’s legislative commitment to reducing emissions and how Community Choice agencies will help the state meet those commitments.
