Climate Protection Campaign Is Hiring

Join our small and mighty team breaking barriers in Sonoma County and beyond with Carma: a new real-time ridesharing app. You’ll help grow our community in a fast-moving and creative environment while working to reduce greenhouse gases and help users save time and money during their commute. If you seek out innovation and love energizing people for a good cause, we hope to hear from you soon!

As part of our team, you’ll work closely with the Sonoma County Transportation Authority and the third party app developer—Carma—to expand our real-time ridesharing community. The desired start date is September 9, 2013, but we’re flexible for the right candidate. Interviews will begin the week of August 26. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Applications are welcome until the position is filled.

About the Climate Protection Campaign:

Based in Santa Rosa, CA, the Climate Protection Campaign is a leading climate-focused nonprofit that works to inspire, align, and mobilize action in response to the climate crisis. We partner with business, government, youth and the broader community to advance practical, science-based solutions for significant greenhouse gas emission reductions.

About the Real-time Rideshare Pilot Project:

The Carma pilot project allows drivers and riders to connect through the Carma app and share rides when needed. Pilot participants are helping to establish a functioning community of riders and drivers, with the goal of building a self-sustaining marketplace for empty vehicle seats — thereby reducing traffic congestion, greenhouse gas emissions, and expanding the sharing economy.
